DURGA PUJA 2021-2022
I hope you and your families are in good health and staying safe. The GMBHCA Executive Committee members have decided to celebrate Durga Puja safely this year in Gandhi Hall from 11th October'21 to 15th October'21.Due to the ongoing COVID - 19 pandemic, we are having to limit the number of visitors at a time to Gandhi Hall for Durga Puja this year. Slots will be allocated on a first come first serve basis and will be notified via email.
On the day of entry to Gandhi Hall please show the following at the entrance.
a. Email invitation to the allocated slot.
b. Negative COVID - 19 Lateral Flow test results.
We will request you to follow some ground rules once you are inside the Gandhi Hall for the safety of all.
1. To keep your masks on at all the time.
2. To keep a safe distance (1 metre) from each other.
3. To sanitise your hands.
4. To stay seated in your own chair. If it is anjali time while you are there, you will be given flowers for anjali which will be collected by volunteers after anjali is over.
You will receive a form to fill in via email. Please complete the form and send the documents to gmbhca2020@gmail.com
Please send your yearly membership fee (£20) and puja donation by 30th September'21 please to enable us to organise the puja successfully this year also.

August 2020
After our Executive Committee meeting held in August, we have decided not to go ahead with any events at Gandhi Hall until further notice. We will advise you further in accordance to Government guidelines on Covid. We may hold some puja events at the home of our priest, which may be broadcast online - we will provide further information here as soon as possible.

Sadly, due to the recent COVID19 outbreak the Bangla Nababarsho Utsab below has had to be cancelled until further notice

We have been awarded £1000 from Manchester Forever for celebrating Manna Dey Centenary. We have also been awarded £200 from Manchester Forever for a Christmas get-together. That is an achievement for us, and we are grateful for all your support.
